Road America. Post-storm. The sun was starting to peer through the clouds again and it gave a rather surreal sort of feel to the evening. Rainbows, sunshowers, huge amounts of spray off the cars' tyres...

This one I picked out purely for the fact it's bright and the headlights appear to be not just on but glowing.

Sounds like an awesome day! Those would have to be some hardcore tires to keep all that power planted firmly on the road. I like how the headlights seem to be glowing, like the car is actually alive and running with a vengeance.

Ooh... quite the description! Yes, it was an incredible day. To have both ALMS and Champ Car on the one weekend was just an awesome experience.

Sportscars have long been a fave of mine and the ALMS was brilliant - I hope, with all the manufacturers seemingly cutting back, it can still remain a good series...

Put it this way: Road America instantly became one of my favourite circuits (joining Le Mans, Bathurst, Donington and Brands GP, of those I've visited). I tried to get around as much of the track as possible, so I could capture every angle. I only wish I could go back every year!

I'd kill to go to Le Mans and sit there for 24 hours, watching everything just zip on by.
