Is it any wonder I now call Vancouver my favourite city, when I am greeted by a fireworks display on my first evening in the city - and then farewelled by them on my last as well! Hey, I can pretend it was all for me...

This is another from my first night in town and continues my love of desaturating fireworks photos. But it's okay folks; these were bright rather than colourful.

Title comes from a Cold Chisel classic.

so what setting is good for shooting firework photos in your opinion?

Umm... depends on the result you want. I was going for anything from around 1/20 all the way to 10 seconds. To catch one burst you'll need a faster shot; to get longer flares - and possibly even more than one set of fireworks - you'll need a longer exposure.
